This is how it all started. No, shut up, it's interesting. We've always loved doing the designs. You can have a lot of fun with the designs. It was like a competition to see who could make the worst. By worst, I mean best, but in a kinda upside-downy way. But then we all got a bit bored and just started throwing things at each other. It got bad when it reached the XXL's, if you know what I mean. Those things have some real weight. It was a real mess. Some days we'd get through a whole box full of them and would be reduced to slinging the L's. Then eventually nothing was left but the skinny-fits, and that's no use for anything. We did find that the resulting pile of t's made some excellent insulation though. Nothing got through those babies. Oh no, they were the tops. Unfortunately, we were supposed to be selling them, not throwing them. It took us nearly a month to repack them, but by that point we'd had enough, and decided to become lumberjacks instead. Noone told us that lumberjacks kill trees though. It's such a cruel world out there. We had to face up to the fact that our lives were meant for t's, and that's what we came back to. We dusted down the Macs, and put those thinking caps back on. And the rest is, as the French probably say (if anyone cared), history. Not that we've done any work or anything. But one day, oh yes, one day. You just watch us.
Yeah, yeah, ok..... I'll go now.

The next morning, bit ran away from the big thing. He had been very annoyed with the odd men. They had insisted on taking him to casualty. He had explained that he was merely in dat, but they hadn't listened, and the leading thing was nowhere to be seen. Instead a doctor put a bandage round his head and gave him an injection, so as soon as bit woke up, he went home to find it. Hello it, he said, when he got back. Why have you got a bandage round your head and bits on your face? I'm in date. Oh, said it, sitting up. What's her name? I don't know, said bit, but it looks exactly like an angle and that hasn't got any shoes. The thing nodded and put her hand over the side of the bed. She felt around for a while, then pulled out an almost-empty thing with no stuff round the edges. Hardly noticed, it explained, handing one to bit.
